Ten thousand fans celebrated the two thrilling duels between the top teams from both leagues at the sold-out SAP Garden last weekend, creating an exuberant atmosphere in the stands and making the event a resounding success. While Thüringer HC clinched the title with a one-goal lead after a comeback, the Füchse Berlin triumphed in the men's competition in a penalty shootout. Off the field, the event also impressed with a colorful program for the whole family, which was very well received by all.

Advance ticket sales for the 2026 Handball Super Cup start now
Just a few days after this successful premiere, advance ticket sales for the second edition of the Handball Super Cup in Munich's new multifunctional arena are already starting: On Saturday, August 22, 2026, the event will return to the SAP Garden. Once again, the best teams in German handball will meet there to officially open the new season.
Handball fans can look forward to two high-class matches – the rematches of the German champion against the cup winner in the DAIKIN HBL and the Alsco Handball Bundesliga Women.
