That was the 2026 Rexel Super Cup at SAP Garden
10,199 spectators watched two thrilling matches. In the Alsco Women’s Handball Bundesliga Super Cup, HSG Blomberg-Lippe faced off against Borussia Dortmund. In the men’s evening match, SC Magdeburg took on Füchse Berlin.
HSG Blomberg-Lippe and SC Magdeburg Celebrate Cup Victories
The first match was thrilling right down to the last second: After a closely contested game, the outcome came down to a penalty shootout. In the end, the champions from Lippe prevailed 26–24, securing their first title of the season.
The men’s match was also a real thriller. The reigning champion of the Opel Handball Bundesliga, SC Magdeburg, defeated Füchse Berlin 38–31, celebrating the third cup victory in the club’s history.
