Ice skating from August to April
Ice skating from August to April
Here, you can ice skate all year round— even in the summer. Our three underground ice rinks offer consistent conditions, even when major events are taking place at SAP Garden. From August through April, the three ice rinks are reserved for use by the City of Munich.
Important Information
•
The number of people allowed on each ice rink is limited. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance through the online ticket shop to ensure admission.
•
Free companion tickets for individuals with a “B” designation on their disability ID card can be booked exclusively on-site at the Welcome Desk (E8) upon presentation of the disability ID card. This applies to all recreational sports events at the SAP Garden. Please note that companion tickets can only be issued within the approved maximum capacity for each event. If an event is already sold out, no additional companion tickets can be issued, even if you already have a purchased ticket.
Adjusted Admission Procedures at the Eispark
Access control will no longer take place on Level -1, but directly on Level -2 in the Eispark. In addition, a separate access control point will be set up for each ice rink. From this point forward, admission will be permitted exclusively immediately prior to your booked ice time; there will be no time buffer before the start of your booked slot.
Therefore, please have your ticket ready only at the start of your ice time. The ticket is also still required to exit the ice rinks. Visitors are therefore asked to keep their ticket with them throughout their entire stay—either digitally on their cell phone or in printed form.
The balconies in Halls 1, 2, and 3 are now freely accessible from Level -1; the visitor ticket previously issued for this purpose is therefore no longer required.
Regular Ice Skating
For all age groups ( Monday through Sunday)
For safety reasons, figure skating is not permitted during public skating sessions.
Inclusive Skating
Skating together for people with and without disabilities, standing and sitting, with and without assistance, for young and old—with plenty of space on the ice and special consideration. The focus: togetherness and consideration.
Available on site:
•
Skating aids
•
3 ice gliders (waiting times may apply during peak demand)
Stick Skating
For ice hockey players ( Monday through Sunday)
The open practice offers children, teens, and adults the opportunity to play ice hockey outside of clubs. The focus is on fun, enjoyment, and camaraderie—not training or competition.
Checks and slap shots are not allowed, and entry onto the ice is permitted only with protective gear. Wearing hockey helmets (with a mesh or full-face visor), gloves, and shin, knee, and elbow pads is mandatory. Additional protective gear is recommended. Only a limited number of pucks are available.
As of August 1, 2026, the ticket price for the “Schlägerlauf” has been adjusted. Since this is an exclusive offer with a limited number of participants (30 people per session), the pricing is based on comparable formats such as the “Kürpatch.”
The Stick Run is subject to certain guidelines and rules of the game designed to ensure fair play. Please also review our Stick Run regulations.
