Ice sports from August to April
You can skate here all year round - regardless of whether it is raining, snowing or particularly hot outside in summer. Our three underground ice rinks offer constant conditions, even when major events are taking place at SAP Garden.
The City of Munich has secured exclusive ice hours and, together with the SAP Garden, is delighted to welcome all ice sports enthusiasts.
Important information
The number of visitors (ice sports enthusiasts) per ice rink is limited. It is strongly recommended to book tickets in advance in the online ticket store.
For safety reasons, figure skating is not permitted during public ice skating.
No checks or slap shots are permitted during stick skating. Entering the ice rinks is only permitted with protective equipment. The wearing of ice hockey helmets (mesh or full visor), gloves and shin, knee and elbow protection is mandatory. Other protective clothing is recommended.
Ice times
The time span of the individual slots ranges from 90 to 135 minutes. Ice preparation takes place in the 15 minutes before the start of the ice time.
All other times and dates can be used for a fee and as part of public skating.
Tickets for public ice skating, ice dancing, figure skating and free skating can be purchased in our online ticket store every Friday from 14:00 for the next two weeks.
The ticket prices of the City of Munich
Category (admission per time slot) and price (gross amount incl. system fees)
Adults - 9,50 Euro
Adults reduced* - 8 Euro
Children 0-3 years - free of charge
Children 4-12 years - 4,50 Euro
Teenagers 13-17 years - 6,50 Euro
Multi-person ticket - 15 euros (1 adult with own children or children and young people under 18 living in the same household - ticket can only be purchased on site)
Freestyle patch - 15 Euro
External coaches for freestyle patch - 15 Euro
Adult artistic skating (without coach, older than 18 years and at least 20, but no more than 35 people) per person - 15 euros
Ice dancing adults (without coach, older than 18 years and at least 20, but not more than 35 persons) per person - 15 Euro
Five-ticket children - 15 euros (ticket can only be purchased on site)
Five-person ticket for young people - 26 euros (ticket can only be purchased on site)
Five-person ticket for adults - 38 euros (ticket can only be purchased on site)
Five-ticket freestyle patch - 60 euros (ticket can only be purchased on site)
Visitor ticket - 2 Euro**
*Munich Pass holders, trainees, students, BFD / FSJ, severely disabled persons from GdB 50, pensioners, holders of the volunteer card
**Our visitor tickets allow all persons who wish to accompany ice skaters to the SAP Garden access to the ice park, i.e. entry to the three training rinks in the leisure and popular sports area of the SAP Garden. Please note that the visitor tickets are only valid for the area described and are not valid for access to the multifunctional hall (also known as the bowl).
Visitors can hire ice skates for ice skating in the popular sports area of the multifunctional sports arena. Please note the opening hours of the skate rental.
Access & location
You can access the ticket office via entrance E8.You can access the ice rinks with online tickets via entrance E6. Admission to the ice rink is 30 minutes before the start of the respective ice time, and 45 minutes before the start of the ice disco.
Hiring ice rinks
In the period from August to April of each ice-skating season, the rink is rented out by the City of Munich. There is already a huge demand for ice time, so please refrain from making further inquiries. Should this change, it will be communicated in good time.
Public ice skating
With public ice skating, which takes place from August to April, we have the perfect offer for ice skating fun. Whether big or small, old or young, beginner or professional - everyone gets their money's worth here.
The ice skating rules apply to all public ice skating activities.
Ice disco
Children between the ages of 6 and 13 must be accompanied by an adult (at least 18 years old) in order to participate. It is not permitted to bring or consume alcohol or narcotics in the SAP Garden.

Free skating patch
You can improve your skating skills every day as part of our freestyle patch offer. This exclusive offer for (advanced) skaters provides an additional training session under the best conditions. You also have the opportunity to continuously develop your skills and abilities with external, licensed coaches. Please note that no coaches or training sessions are offered.
Please also note that only a limited number of tickets are available.
Ice dancing and figure skating for adults
Do you want to pursue your enthusiasm for ice dancing and figure skating? Then we have the right offer for you. As part of the exclusive times for these two sports, you can let your skates glide across the ice to the right music. A trainer or training sessions are not included in our offer. The times for adults in ice dancing and figure skating offer you a professional and safe environment for your training.

Racket skating
The Schlägerlauf is primarily intended to give children, young people and adults the opportunity to play ice hockey outside of organized sport, i.e. outside of clubs. This clear objective also makes it clear that the Schlägerlauf focuses on fun, enjoyment and cooperation in the sport of ice hockey and is not a classic training game or even a competition. For this reason, a number of guidelines and rules of play apply to racket skating to ensure fair play.
Inclusive ice skating
Ice skating for all - an offer for all ice skating enthusiasts who want to have fun skating together with and without disabilities. With this public ice skating offer, there is more space on the ice, consideration is given to each other and skating aids and ice frame runners are available. Three ice gliders are also available. If demand is high, there may be waiting times for the ice gliders.
An offer for young and old, standing or sitting, with or without support. The following applies: this offer is all about togetherness and consideration for one another.
