On 27 September, the SAP Garden in Munich will open its doors to the general public for the first time. EHC Red Bull München kicks off the opening weekend from 27 to 29 September with a game against the Buffalo Sabres National Hockey League team. FC Bayern's basketball team will also be celebrating their debut.
The first sporting event in one of Europe's most modern sports arenas has it all. Four-time German ice hockey champions EHC Red Bull München will host the Buffalo Sabres on Friday, 27 September at 8:30 pm.
The Red Bulls' game against the Sabres is part of the "2024 NHL Global Series Challenge Germany presented by Fastenal". The official pre-sale for this match starts on 7 May. Tickets and VIP hospitality packages will then be available on the Red Bulls' website. Season ticket holders of the Munich DEL club for the 2024/25 season have a right of first refusal on their seats.
An "Open Day" will follow on Saturday, 28 September. Throughout the day, all Munich residents will be able to visit the new landmark and get a first, lasting impression of its wealth of options. Among other things, guests will be able to experience the new video cube with a total projection area of 209 square metres in action. In addition, visitors can look forward to various show performances that document the variety of uses of SAP Gardens.
On Sunday, 29 September, five-time German basketball champions FC Bayern München will celebrate their debut on the new floor at Oberwiesenfeld. Further information on the programme for this day will follow.
