SAP Garden: Fenerbahce Istanbul plays two basketball games in Munich
Discussions about relocating two games against Israeli teams were already held in the summer. Now Fenerbahce has found a suitable venue in the SAP Garden.
Background & regulations
The reason for this measure is the entry ban from Israel to Turkey. The upcoming EuroLeague games against Maccabi and Hapoel Tel Aviv will therefore take place on neutral ground in Munich.
SAP Garden will only open its doors to home fans. Fenerbahce supporters will be seated in the lower tier. The spectator capacity for each of the two games is a maximum of 7,200 people.
Tickets will be sold exclusively through the Fenerbahce fan clubs. FC Bayern Basketball, which also plays its EuroLeague games in the multifunctional arena in Munich, is supporting the Turkish club in implementing this measure.
