SAP Garden receives prestigious Green GOOD DESIGN Award 2026
The SAP Garden landscape architecture in Munich's Olympic Park, designed by landscape architecture firm Latz + Partner, won an award in the “Green Urban Planning / Landscape Architecture” category.
The Green GOOD DESIGN Award is considered one of the most prestigious international awards for sustainable design. Architectural, landscape architecture, urban planning, product, packaging, and graphic design projects from over 40 countries were submitted for 2026. An international jury of industry experts selected over 200 outstanding examples of environmentally and sustainably oriented design—including the SAP Garden.
One of the most important design awards worldwide
With Green GOOD DESIGN, the European Centre and the Chicago Athenaeum aim to highlight exemplary contributions to sustainable design worldwide and raise public awareness of environmental responsibility in design and planning. The program is a specialized edition of the original GOOD DESIGN Awards, which were founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames and are considered the oldest and one of the most important design awards worldwide.

Award ceremony on March 20 in Athens
This year's exhibition and award ceremony will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies in Athens, Greece. All award-winning projects will be documented in the Green GOOD DESIGN 2026 Yearbook, including the landscape design of the SAP Garden.
The Green GOOD DESIGN Award 2026 recognizes the SAP Garden internationally as an innovative, sustainable sports and event project in the sensitive environment of Munich's listed Olympic Park.
