Handball Super Cup 2025: Thüringer HC replaces HB LudwigsburgChange in the field of participants in the HBF game// CURRENTFollowing the decision by the Women's Handball Bundesliga (HBF) to withdraw HB Ludwigsburg from the 2025 Handball Super Cup, there will be a change in the line-up of participants for the joint season opener of the HBF and HBL.
Instead of HB Ludwigsburg, Thüringer HC, the reigning winner of the Women's European League, will face HSG Blomberg-Lippe on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at SAP Garden in Munich. The decision was made by the HBF board and officially announced today.
Following the HBF match, the German men's champions Füchse Berlin will face the DHB Cup winners THW Kiel. All tickets already purchased for the Handball Super Cup remain valid. For further information, please refer to the detailed press release from the Women's Handball Bundesliga.
