Everything you need to know about the 2026 NBA Playoffs at SAP Garden
On Sunday, May 17, FC Bayern Basketball kicks off its 2026 playoff season with its first game. All of FC Bayern’s home playoff games will be held at SAP Garden under the motto “MUNICH ALL IN.”
The opponent for the quarterfinal series has not yet been determined and will be decided via the play-ins.
The SAP Garden has a capacity of 11,500. Individual tickets and the playoff package are available through the FCBB online shop.

Playoff Rules and Format
After the regular season, the top eight teams in the standings qualify for the easyCredit BBL playoffs. These playoffs determine the German champion through a single-elimination bracket. The first- and second-place teams each face a team from the play-in tournament.
The playoffs consist of the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals. In each round, two teams face off in a so-called “best-of-five” series. This means that the first team to win three games advances to the next round. The higher-seeded team from the regular season has home-court advantage in Games 1, 2, and, if necessary, Game 5. If Bayern wins its three remaining games, it can secure home-court advantage in all series.
The playoffs typically begin in May and conclude with a team winning the final series, thereby securing the title of German Champion.
