Arrival, entrances & digital services: Everything you need for the SAP Garden journey// InfosBefore you pay a visit to SAP Garden, Europe's most modern sports arena, we provide you with the most important information.
Getting There
By Car
The SAP Garden is located in the northern part of the Olympic Park, right off Federal Highway 2R. There are ample parking options on-site at the Parkharfe (3,500 spaces) in front of the sports arena, which can be reached either via Toni-Merkens-Weg or, when coming from the north, directly via Federal Highway 2R.
New parking and payment system: The barriers at the exits have been removed. In the future, vehicles will be automatically registered upon entry via license plate recognition, in compliance with data protection regulations. Upon exiting, no ticket and no stop at a barrier are required; the vehicle can simply drive on.
A total of seven modern payment kiosks are available for cashless payments. Alternatively, the parking fee can be conveniently paid online via Arivo Pay. Parking fees can still be paid online up to 48 hours after exiting the lot. The modern license plate recognition system and digital parking management also enable Rot Kreuz Betriebe (RKB), as the operator of the Parkharfe, to manage the parking lot in a modern and efficient manner. To assist visitors in using the new system as needed, RKB staff will be on hand to provide help and guidance. You can find all the information about the new parking and payment system here.
Using the MVV
We recommend traveling to and from the venue by subway. The nearest subway station is “Gern” (served by lines U1 and U7), about a 15-minute walk from the SAP Garden. You can also reach the arena by bus and streetcar. You can find detailed information about traveling by public transportation here. With a season ticket from EHC Red Bull Munich, you can use public transportation on the MVV network (Zone M-6) free of charge to travel to and from the SAP Garden.
By Bike
There are 600 bicycle parking spaces available free of charge on the stadium grounds.
Parking areas for e-scooters and e-bikes: There are two designated parking areas in the Olympic Parkfor rented e-scooters and e-bikes. This is intended to keep parking organized and keep sidewalks clear:
In the east: Spiridon-Louis-Ring at the corner of Lerchenauer Straße, in the parking lot of the Olympia-Actionsportzentrum
In the west: Toni-Merkens-Weg, directly at the SAP Garden at the southwest entrance
Please use only the designated areas to park e-scooters and e-bikes. Also, be sure not to block walkways, driveways, or paths. Look for the appropriate signage on site.
